Run Time Augmentation System is a multi-player online shooter video game for PC, PS4, Xbox One and mobiles. It is developed by 505 Games and published by Gameforge.The game features time-based objectives. When the time is up, the player can begin again. The game revolves around the events of an alien invasion on Earth. Players take on the roles of various species to complete objectives in four different game modes.
The game was released on 18 February 2016 and was later ported to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Windows 10 on 3 March 2017. The Windows 10 version is available for both home and commercial use and the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions were released on 31 May 2017.
The game has been downloaded over 21 million times since its launch. The Windows 10 version alone was downloaded over 9 million times.
Plot
In the year 2191, an alien invasion begins when a scout ship from a rival race is destroyed while landing on Earth.
Reception
The Windows version of Run Time Augmentation System received an aggregated score of 7.5 out of 10 from GameSpot, stating it was a "gorgeous looking shooter that sets a good tone, but a few player limitations and a harsh learning curve bring the whole package down a few notches."
